Appointments, Promotions, Transfers, and Resignations of Officers of the New Zealand Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :—
STAFF.
Lieutenant B. J. McGregor, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Instructor, Engineer Training Unit, Foxton Military Camp, temporarily. Dated 3rd July, 1941.
Lieutenant R. Donaldson, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Infantry Instructor, Southern Military District School of Instruction, Burnham. Dated 3rd July, 1941.
Lieutenant J. A. McPherson, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Infantry Instructor, Central Military School of Instruction, Palmerston North, temporarily. Dated 3rd July, 1941.
REGIMENT OF ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Staff Sergeant (temp. W.O. II) Harold George Salt to be Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.), and is posted to the 9th Heavy Regiment, N.Z. Artillery. Dated 24th June, 1941.
N.Z. ARMY PAY CORPS.
Lieutenant A. P. Gordon is posted for duty with Camp Pay Office, Mobilization Camp, Trentham. Dated 11th July, 1941.
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Major H. Henderson relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding No. 1 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Burnham. Dated 30th June, 1941.
Captain S. W. Crawford, M.D., Ch.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, to be Major (temp.), and is attached to Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 10th July, 1941.
The undermentioned Lieutenants are granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st June, 1941 :—

Lieutenant E. B. Edwards, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, 2nd Signals Company, N.Z. Corps of Signals, Wellington, dated 9th June, 1941, and is appointed Chief Signals Instructor, Mobilization Camp, Trentham, dated 10th June, 1941.
Wilfred Laughton Free to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Chief Weapon Training Instructor, Mobilization Camp, Trentham. Dated 4th July, 1941.
Claude Ernest Townsend to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Transport Shipping Officer, Northern Military District, Auckland. Dated 5th July, 1941.
THE AUCKLAND (EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants (temp.) are granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant :—

2nd Lieutenant (temp) F. J. Clark, 1st Field Company, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st June, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant (temp.) K. R. Stemson, 1st Field Company, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st July, 1941.

Murray William Speight to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp), and is posted to the 3rd Battalion. Dated 26th June, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) G. T. A. Reilly, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 4th July, 1941.
