Waterfront Control Commission Emergency Regulations 1940.—Appointment of Wharf Superintendent for the Port of Auckland.
IN pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred upon me by the Waterfront Control Commission Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint

to be a Wharf Superintendent for the Port of Auckland.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to confirm the following appointments, promotions, transfer, and relinquishments of temporary rank of officers on active service with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas, vide List No. 21:—
APPOINTMENTS.
Commands and Staff.
Brigadier J. Hargest, D.S.O., M.C., V.D., relinquished command of the detached Force in United Kingdom and resumed command of the 5th N.Z. Infantry Brigade. Dated 5th March, 1941.
Lieutenant-Colonel A. S. Falconer, D.S.O., M.C., relinquished temporary command of the 5th N.Z. Infantry Brigade and resumed command of the 23rd (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion. Dated 5th March, 1941.
Major A. B. W. Ross, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General (temp.), Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Division, and is seconded. Dated 1st March, 1941.
Major A. P. MacDuff, 20th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed to command a Base Reception Depot, and is seconded. Dated 18th March, 1941.
Major N. A. Rattray, 26th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed Liaison Officer with a Force Headquarters, and is seconded. Dated 20th March, 1941.
Major B. J. Mathewson, 20th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, from 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force Base, is appointed Liaison Officer with a Headquarters, and is seconded. Dated 31st March, 1941.
Captain J. B. White, Railway Construction and Maintenance Group, is appointed Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General, Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Division, and is seconded. Dated 10th March, 1941.
Captain J. H. R. Luxford is appointed to command the Medium Machine Gun Training Company. Dated 10th March, 1941.
Captain A. J. Crisp 19th (Wellington) Battalion, relinquishes the temporary appointment of Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Division, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 1st March, 1941.
