W.O. I. (Staff Sergeant-Major) William James Fisher to be Lieutenant and Quartermaster, and remains seconded to the Bombay Liaison Staff, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 12th May, 1941.

N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.

Major J. G. Jeffery, M.C., V.D., Area Staff Officer, No. 11 Area, Dunedin, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst holding his present appointment. Dated 25th June, 1941.

Major C. F. Seaward, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Company Commander, No. 2 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura, and is appointed Company Commander, No. 1 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 7th October, 1940.

Major C. F. Seaward, M.C., Company Commander, No. 1 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura, performed the duties of Brigade Major, 1st N.Z. Mounted Rifles Brigade, from 3rd February, 1941, to 20th May, 1941.

Captain C. R. Duke, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Area Officer, No. 9 Area, Nelson, is appointed Area Officer, No. 9 Area, Nelson, and is granted the temporary rank of Major while so employed. Dated 26th May, 1941.

Captain O. D. Sutcliffe, M.C., attached to the Branch of the Quartermaster-General, Army Headquarters, is appointed Staff Officer, Movements and Quartering, Army Headquarters, Wellington, vice Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) V. J. Innes, N.Z. Staff Corps, and is granted the temporary rank of Major while so employed. Dated 28th June, 1941.

Captain G. Whitham relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, Central Military District, Wellington, and is appointed Area Officer, No. 8 Area, New Plymouth. Dated 10th June, 1941.

Captain D. C. Crozier relinquishes the appointment of District Mechanical Transport Technical Officer, Southern Military District, and is appointed Assistant Director of Mechanical Transport, Southern Military District. Dated 8th May, 1941.

Lieutenant T. W. Exton relinquishes the appointment of Assistant District Mechanical Transport Technical Officer, Southern Military District, and is appointed District Mechanical Transport Technical Officer, Southern Military District. Dated 8th May, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) G. W. Heatherwick, 2nd Signals Company, N.Z. Corps of Signals, to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant, 2nd Signals Company, N.Z. Corps of Signals, Wellington, vice Lieutenant E. B. Edwards. M.C., N.Z. Temporary Staff. Dated 9th June, 1941.

George Michael Ivo Adams to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, Central Military District, Wellington, vice Captain G. Whitham, N.Z. Temporary Staff. Dated 10th June, 1941.

James Alfred Garnet Enright to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed District Mechanical Transport Accounting Officer, Northern Military District. Dated 25th June, 1941.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 56, dated 3rd July, 1941, relative to the appointment of Captain and Quartermaster (temp.) J. T. Thomson, 2nd Composite Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps, for "Dated 13th June, 1941," substitute "Dated 26th June, 1941."

Lieutenant (temp.) C. A. S. Maynard, A.I.A.A., 2nd Field Company, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, to be Lieutenant, (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant and Engineer Instructor, Foxton Military Camp. Dated 27th June, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) L. Lucena, 1st Battalion, The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own), to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant, 1st Signals Company, vice Lieutenant W. H. Behague, N.Z. Staff Corps, seconded to the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionzry Force. Dated 27th June, 1941.

Thomas George Scott-Smith to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted for duty with the Camp Pay Office, Mobilization Camp, Trentham. Dated 3rd July, 1941.

Lieutenant T. G. Scott-Smith is appointed Records Officer, Waiouru Military Camp. Dated 7th July, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant I. R. McK. Muirson, 2nd Battalion, The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington's Own), relinquishes his appointment in the N.Z. Temporary Staff. Dated 30th June, 1941.

N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.

Robert Arthur Garters to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 3rd Signals Company. Dated 9th May, 1941.

THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY'S OWN).

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) M. T. Wilson ceases to be posted to the 2nd Battalion, and is posted to the 3rd Battalion. Dated 23rd December, 1940.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) B. C. Miller, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Hauraki Regiment. Dated 26th June, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) M. D. Nairn, 2nd Cadet Battalion, resigns his commission on appointment to a commission in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Dated 28th October, 1940.
