I, ALLAN LINDSAY BRYANT, M.B., Ch.B., University of N.Z., 1940, now residing in Invercargill, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 24th February next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Dunedin.

GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Glen Eden Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,230, authorized to be raised by the Glen Eden Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes: (a) The reconstruction of Valley Road Bridge and approaches; (b) the reconstruction of Valley Road Culvert and approaches; the said Glen Eden Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-halfpenny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Glen Eden Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Glen Eden Town Board held on the 16th day of December, 1940.

ASHBURTON ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Ashburton Electric-power Board hereby resolves:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000), authorized to be raised by the Ashburton Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction and completion of electric works, the said Ashburton Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventieth (¹⁄₇₀d.) in the pound sterling upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Ashburton Electric-power District as defined by Proclamation proclaiming the said area dated the 17th day of November, 1921, and extended by Proclamation dated the 14th day of March, 1938; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years (25) or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified as a correct extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the said Board, dated the 20th day of January, 1941.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a special loan of £5,750, authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a water-supply in the Maeroa Water-supply Special Rating Area, the Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and thirty-three fiftieths (2³³⁄₅₀d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the said Maeroa Water-supply Special Rating Area described in the Schedule hereto, and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SCHEDULE.

Maeroa Water-supply Special Rating Area.

ALL of that area of land situated in the County of Waipa bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Waitawhiriwhiri Stream at its confluence with the Waikato River; thence along the right bank of the said Waitawhiriwhiri Stream to a point opposite the southern corner of Lot 126, on Deposited Plan 13131, of Sections 37 and 243, Parish of Pukete; thence across the Waitawhiriwhiri Stream and along the southern boundaries of Lots 126 and 127 on the said deposited plan to the south-western corner of the said Lot 127; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Orakau Street to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 44 on Deposited Plan 15435, Auckland Registry; thence along the northern boundaries of Lots 44, 45, and 46 on the last-mentioned deposited plan to the north-western corner of the said Lot 46; thence in a south-western direction to the eastern corner of part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 10121, of Section 243, Parish of Pukete; thence in a westerly direction along the northern boundary of the said Lot 1 to a point at its intersection with the Hamilton Borough boundary; thence northerly, westerly, northerly and westerly along the Hamilton Borough boundary to the western corner of Lot 2, on Deposited Plan 7943, of Allotments 75 and 76, Pukete Parish; thence north-westerly by a right line through Lots 9 and 8 on Deposited Plan 8639, Auckland Registry, to a point in the southern boundary of Lot 1 on the last-mentioned deposited plan 6 chains distant in a westerly direction from the western boundary of Mitcham Avenue measured along the said southern boundary of the last-mentioned Lot 1; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 1 to the eastern shore of Roto Kaio; thence northerly and westerly along the shore of Roto Kaio to the south-western corner of Lot 3 on the said Deposited Plan 8639; thence along the western and northern boundaries of the said Lot 3 to a point opposite the northern boundary of Lot 1 on Deeds Plan C. 90; of parts Sections 38, 39, and 40, Parish of Pukete; thence across Mitcham Avenue and along the northern boundary of the last-mentioned Lot 1 to the western boundary of all the land on Deposited Plan 26332, Auckland Registry, being part Sections 41 and 41A, Parish of Pukete; thence along the western and northern boundaries of the said Sections part 40 and 41A to a point in the northern boundary thereof 4 chains distant from
