Notice of Intention to take Land for Road in Blocks III and VII, Otamatae Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kiawaka, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Palmerston North) Order 1940, Amendment No. 1.
PURSUANT to the Oil Fuel Retail Hours Emergency Regulation 1940 (No. 2), and pursuant to a requisition in writing received in that behalf, I, Frederick Jones, acting for the Minister of Labour, do hereby direct as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Palmerston North) Order 1940, Amendment No. 1.

The Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Palmerston North) Order 1940, is amended by adding the following clause after clause 6:—
“7. On the Thursday immediately preceding Good Friday, on the 24th December, on Boxing Day, and on the 31st December in each year, the establishments referred to in clause 4 hereof shall remain open till midnight in lieu of the hours specified in the said clause, and the ‘emergency supply station’ specified in clause 5 hereof shall on every such day be closed from 8 a.m. till midnight.”
- This Order shall come into force on the 10th day of February, 1941.

Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939.
PRICE ORDER NO. 20.
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Price Tribunal by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, and with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 20.

The maximum price at which asparagus packed by J. Wattie Canneries, Limited, of Hastings, and bearing the trade name of “Frimley” may be sold, by way of retail at any place in New Zealand where a wholesale merchant buying such asparagus “freight paid” is situated, shall be not more than 1s. 8d. per tin of 14½ oz. net contents and 2s. 10d. per tin of 1 lb. 14½ oz. net contents; at any other place in New Zealand there may be added to the price hereby fixed the actual or proportionate amount (calculated to the next highest halfpenny) of any extra freight from such nearest wholesale merchant’s store to place of sale.
