Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 25th June, 1941.
THE following notice, received from the Chairman,
Hobson County Council, is published in accordance
with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL.
Bridge Rate.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1926, I hereby give notice that at the poll taken on
Saturday, 17th May, 1941, on the proposal to levy a
bridge rate of one halfpenny in the pound on the unimproved
value of all rateable property in the Hobson County for the
purpose of either (a) building up a fund to which can be
charged the cost of reconstruction of bridges exceeding 20 ft.
in span on roads under the jurisdiction of the Hobson County
Council, or (b) for the purpose of meeting the annual charges
on any loans raised, pursuant to section 25 of the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, for the reconstruction of such
bridges, the number of votes recorded was as follows:

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it
is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land
shown upon the plan of Town of Birchville Extension No. 9,
affecting part of Section 354, Hutt Registration District,
and closed road, Block XIV, Akatarawa Survey District,
Wellington Land District, is intended to be used wholly for
residential purposes, that the proposed road shown thereon
as Lot 33 should be of the width of 66 ft.
Now, therefore, I, Hubert Thomas Armstrong, for the
Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power
conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (l) of the Land
Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling,
authorize the laying-off of the proposed road of a width of
not less than 40 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be
lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any
building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of
such road.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IV, Akaroa Survey
District, for Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute
a certain public work--to wit, the construction of road--
and for the purposes of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice
is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Robinson's
Bay and is there open for inspection; and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
12 perches.
Being part Lot 1, D.P. 4182, being part Rural Section 580.
Situated in Block IV, Akaroa Survey District (Canterbury
R.D.). (S.O. 7259.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 110825,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
As witness my hand at Wellington, this 2nd day of
July, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain
public work--to wit, the construction of a road--and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken
