Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Feilding.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 5th June, 1941.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Feilding and included in the County of Oroua.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF FEILDING AND INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF OROUA.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Suburban Section 179; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Sections 179, 180, 181, 182, and 183 to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Section 183 to its easternmost corner; thence south-westerly along the western side of Lethbridge Street to the south-eastern corner of Section 179 aforesaid; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Section 179 to its south-western corner, the place of commencement.

ALL that area of land in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of Centaurus Road in line with the western side of Albert Terrace, being a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; proceeding thence southerly across Centaurus Road to and along the said western side of Albert Terrace to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 10297; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 3, D.P. 10297, to a point on the eastern boundary of Lot 84, D.P. 7182; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of the said Lot 84 and Lots 85, 86, 87, D.P. 7182, and Reserve 4109 to the south-eastern corner of the said Reserve 4109; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Reserve 4109 to and across Dry Bush Road; thence northerly along the western side of Dry Bush Road to the south-eastern corner of Reserve 4301; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Reserve 4301 and Lots 63, 61, 60, 58, and 55, D.P. 7182, to the westernmost corner of the said Lot 55, D.P. 7182; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of the said Lot 55 and Lots 53, 50, 43, D.P. 7182, and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 42, 41, 39, and 36 to the westernmost corner of the said Lot 36, D.P. 7182; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 36, to and across Reserve 4133 to a point on the south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 10625; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundary of the said Lot 2, and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 10625, to and along Dry Bush Road to a point on the southern boundary of Lot 9, D.P. 7182; thence westerly and northerly along the southern and western boundaries of the said Lot 9, D.P. 7182, and the production of that boundary across a road to the south-western corner of Lot 8, D.P. 7182; thence northerly along the western boundaries of the said Lot 8, D.P. 7182, aforesaid, and Lots 85, 84, 83, 82, 81, 80, 79, and 78, D.P. 5960, to and by the western end of a road to the northern side of the said road; thence easterly along the northern side of that road to and across Centaurus Road to a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence along that boundary to the commencing point.

Appointing Saturday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Borough of Lawrence.

WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the Borough of Lawrence was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, on the 17th day of May, 1941:

And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Lawrence has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said borough:

Now, therefore, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, do hereby appoint Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said borough on and from the 30th day of June, 1941.

Dated at Wellington, this 11th day of June, 1941.

And whereas the Clerk of the Kawakawa Town Board has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said town district:

Now, therefore, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the said Act, do hereby appoint Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said town district on and from the 30th day of June, 1941.

Dated at Wellington, this 11th day of June, 1941.

WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the Combined District of Taumarunui and Mananui, comprising the Borough of Taumarunui and the Town District of Mananui, was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, on the 17th day of May, 1941:

And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Taumarunui has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in the said combined district:

Now, therefore, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the said Act, do hereby appoint Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in the said combined district on and from the 30th day of June, 1941.
