Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the
Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May,
1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
21st May, 1914, the following officer, at the address set
against his name, is hereby appointed transmitting and
receiving officer for the purpose of dealing with all notices
by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of
signing such certificates in relation to the service of any
such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or
given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid:—

IN pursuance of the provisions of the Education Act,
1914, and regulations made thereunder, I hereby notify
that Archibald Manning has been elected as a member to
represent the Timaru Urban Area of the Canterbury
Education District.

Armed Forces.

IT is hereby notified for general information that in
pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44
of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have
this day issued to—

notices calling them up for service overseas with the Armed
Forces as being reservists of Class A of the First Division
of the General Reserve, such persons having been severally
convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a class of
the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed,
they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in
that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1)
of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.
