Redefining Boundaries of the City of Lower Hutt, the County of Hutt, and the Epuni and the Wainuiomata Ridings of the County of Hutt.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the City of Lower Hutt are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said City having been altered by Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 12th day of March, 1941, and published in Gazette No. 23 of the 13th day of March, 1941:

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Hutt affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto:

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Epuni Riding of the County of Hutt affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto:

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of Hutt affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Fourth Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF LOWER HUTT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in Belmont Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 16, Hutt District, and proceeding generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 16, 20, 24, 28, and 75, Hutt District, to the northernmost corner of Section 75, Hutt District; thence south-easterly and easterly along the northern boundary of Section 75, Hutt District, to its intersection with the eastern side of the Western Hutt Road; thence north-easterly along the eastern side of the Western Hutt Road to the southern boundary of that part of Section 37, Hutt District, granted to Leonard Young by Crown Grant No. 934 (Deeds Index 3/607); thence easterly along the southern boundary of the said part of Section 37, Hutt District, and its production to the western boundary of Section 46, Hutt District; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 46, 49, 52, Hutt District, to the westernmost corner of Section 55, Hutt District; thence easterly along the southern boundary of Section 55, Hutt District, to and along the north-western side of the Main Hutt Road to a point in line with the northern side of Cemetery Road; thence by a right line across Main Hutt Road to and along the northern side of Cemetery Road, to and along the northern side of Manuka Street to its junction with the western side of Rimu Street; thence southerly along the western side of Rimu Street, to and across Rata Street, to and along the western boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 2507, being a subdivision of part Section 43, Hutt District, to the south-western corner of that lot; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 on D.P. 2507 aforesaid, and along the southern boundaries of Lots 50 to 56 inclusive on D.P. 1680, being subdivisions of part Section 43, Hutt District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence in a generally south-westerly direction along the north-western boundaries of Sections 439 and 440, Hutt District, to and along the north-western boundary of Section 21, Lowry Bay District, to the northernmost corner of part Lot 3 on D.P. 7866, being a subdivision of part of Section 21, Lowry Bay District; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of part Lot 3 aforesaid, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 11467, being a subdivision of portion of Section 21, Lowry Bay District, to the eastern boundary of Section 238, Hutt District; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 238, 239, 240, Hutt District, the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of Section 76, Hutt District, and the eastern boundary of Section 77, Hutt District, to its southernmost point; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Section 77, Hutt District, to its junction with the eastern side of Gracefield Road; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Gracefield Road to its junction with Seaview Road; thence along a right line to the western side of Seaview Road; thence northerly along the western side of Seaview Road to the northern boundary of Section 20, Harbour District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 20, Harbour District, and along the mean high-water mark, being the southern boundary of land reclaimed from Port Nicholson, as shown on S.O. plan 263/45, to the south-western corner of the said reclaimed land; thence northerly along the mean high-water mark forming the western boundary of the said reclaimed land to a point in line with the southern side of Marine Parade, Borough of Petone; thence along a right line to the intersection of the southern side of Marine Parade with the western side of the western branch of the Hutt River forming the boundary of the Borough of Petone; thence northerly and westerly along the boundary of the Borough of Petone to the westernmost corner of Section 16, Hutt District, the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF HUTT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Waikanae River; thence up the middle of that river to the North Island Main Trunk Railway-line; thence by that railway-line to the northern boundary of Subdivision 23, Ngarara West C Block; thence along that boundary to the Waikanae-Reikiorangi Road; thence along the middle of that road and the Ngatiawa Road to the bridge near Section 35, Block X, Kaitawa Survey District; thence up the middle of the Ngatiawa River to the northern boundary of Section No. 18; thence along the northern boundary of Section No. 18 aforesaid, and the western and northern boundaries of Sections 8 and 10, Block III, Akatarawa Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Hector; thence by a line along the summit of the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges to a point in line with the southern boundary of State Forest Reserve, Block VI, Pencarrow Survey District; thence along the said southern boundary of State Forest Reserve to the shore of Palliser Bay; thence by the sea and Port Nicholson to the south-west corner of the Borough of Petone; thence along the western boundary of the Borough of Petone to the southern boundary of Section 34, Maungaraki Settlement; thence along that boundary to the south-western corner of the said Section 34; thence along the southern boundary of Section 39 to its south-western corner; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 39 and 3, Subdivisions 6, 4, 5, and 7, Maungaraki Settlement, the western boundaries of Sections 41 and 4, Normandale Settlement, and the western boundaries of Sections 329, 330, 331, 339, 340, and 343, Hutt Registration District, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the northern boundary of Section 343 aforesaid, the eastern boundary of Section 344, and the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 348, Hutt District aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of Lot 11 on plan 3138, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence along the southern boundaries of Lots 11, 10, and 9 on the said plan 3138 to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence along the western boundary of Lot 9 and the south-western boundaries of Lots 3 and 1, plan 3138 aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of Section 99, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Section 99 to the Porirua Harbour; thence by Porirua Harbour and the sea to the mouth of the Waikanae River, the place of commencement, excluding therefrom the City of Lower Hutt, and the boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, and Upper Hutt.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE EPUNI RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF HUTT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded on the south generally by the City of Lower Hutt, hereinbefore described, and the Borough of Petone from the westernmost corner of Section 440, Hutt Registration District, to the north-western corner of the Borough of Petone; thence by the southern and western boundary of the Hutt County, hereinbefore described, to the north-western corner of Section 331, Hutt Registration District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 331 to its intersection with the western boundary of Block III, Belmont Survey District; thence easterly and northerly along the southern and eastern boundaries of the said Block III, Belmont Survey District, to the south-western corner of Section 200A, Hutt Registration District; thence north-easterly along the western boundaries of Sections 200A, 200, 198, 197, 196A, and 196, Hutt Registration District, to the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence along the north-western boundary of the said Section 196 to its north-eastern corner; thence south-westerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 196 and 178, Hutt Registration District, to a point in line with the production of the north-eastern boundary of Section 191; thence south-easterly to and along the northern boundary of the said Section 191 and Section 204, Hutt Registration District, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 204 and 205 to the north-eastern boundary of Section 248, Hutt Registration District; thence along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of said Section 248 to the north-western corner of Section 235; thence southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 235, 236, and
