BOROUGH OF MATAMATA.
DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE.
PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Matamata, taken on the 17th day of May, 1941, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said borough be on the unimproved value, the number of votes recorded was as follows:—

Informal .. .. .. 4
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

MEACHEN MOTORS, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 222 of the Companies Act, 1938, notice is hereby given that by a resolution passed at a special meeting of the members of Meachen Motors, Limited, held on the 16th May, 1941, it was resolved that the said company be wound up voluntarily, and that HUGO STEPHEN FANNING, of Petone, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator.

WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wallace County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Wallace County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, such loan to be called the ‘Rural Housing Loan,’ the said Wallace County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny (½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Wallace; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Wallace was hereunto affixed this 17th day of April, 1941, in the presence of—

NOTICE is hereby given that a resolution for voluntary winding up of Matheson and Trevathan, Limited, was duly passed on the 13th day of May, 1941, and by the same resolution DAVID MATHESON, of Pembroke, Carrier, was appointed liquidator.

THE WESTPORT CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named society, duly convened and held on the 7th day of May, 1941, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—
“That the society cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the society be wound up voluntarily.”
And it was further resolved by way of ordinary resolution that RICHARD THOMAS FOWLER and THOMAS PARFITT, both of Westport, Watersiders, be appointed liquidators of the society.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership between ROY BODY and REGINALD JAMES BODY, of Mamuni, Contractors, previously carried on at Mamuni and elsewhere under the style of “Body Brothers,” has been dissolved as at the 31st day of March, 1941, and the said Reginald James Body is now carrying on business alone at Mamuni and elsewhere under the style of “Body Brothers.”
