THE AUCKLAND AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE BOARD.

LOAN No. 19, 1940, £20,000.

Special Order.

THE Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board doth hereby in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and their respective amendments, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a Special Order to borrow the sum of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) as a special loan to be designated Loan No. 19, 1940, £20,000, for the following purposes :—

(a) Branch Sewer No. 9, Oakley Creek—
Extension of sewer .. .. .. 15,250
(b) Pumping-stations—
Additions to Pumping-station No. 4, and extra
equipment for all stations .. .. 1,250
(c) Oakley Creek—
Additional storm-water culverts .. .. 1,000
(d) Workshop and Store—
Erection of buildings .. .. .. 2,500

£20,000

The foregoing Special Order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board convened by requisition of the Chairman dated the 20th day of February, 1941, and held on the 24th day of February, 1941. It was publicly notified in the New Zealand Herald on the 28th day of February, 1941, and the 14th day of March, 1941, and the Auckland Star on the 7th and 21st days of March, 1941. It was confirmed at a special meeting of the Board convened by resolution of the Board on the 24th day of February, 1941, and held on the 25th day of March, 1941.

The common seal of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 25th day of March, 1941, in the presence of—

WHITE’S ELECTRIC GOLD DREDGING COMPANY (BARRYTOWN), LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

PURSUANT to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that a meeting of creditors of the company will be held at the registered office, 203 Commerce Buildings, 187 Hereford Street Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 8th day of April, 1941, at 2.15 p.m., following an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the company convened for 4 p.m. on Monday, the 7th day of April, 1941, called to consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolution, viz. :—

“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore existing between AUSTIN BERNARD DALLOW and ALLAN LESLIE FORSYTH, carrying on business as Motorcycle Dealers at Lorne Street, Auckland, under the name or style of “Dallow and Forsyth,” has been dissolved as from the 31st day of December, 1940. The business has been taken over by Mr. A. B. DALLOW, who will carry it on in his own name and be responsible for all liabilities as from the date of dissolution.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

Waterworks Extension and Improvement Loan (£150,000)
Renewal Loan, 1941.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £145,800, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act and to be known as the Waterworks Extension and Improvement Loan (£150,000) Renewal Loan, 1941, for the purpose of repaying the amount owing by the Council under the hypothecation of the debentures authorized to be issued in respect of the Waterworks Extension and Improvement Loan (£150,000) Redemption Loan, 1934, of the City of Auckland, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-tenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Auckland ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified to be a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of a special meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 27th day of March, 1941.
