NOTICE is hereby given that the petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 10th day of March, 1941, presented to the said Court by the body incorporate known as the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 24th day of April, 1941, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

I, GEORGE BURALL COURTIS, M.B., Ch.B., University of Otago, 1940, now residing in Masterton, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 12th March next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above company will be held at the offices of the company, “Kingston,” Keri Keri, Bay of Islands, on Friday, the 28th day of March, 1941, at 8 o’clock in the evening, for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that a first and final dividend of 1s. in the pound is now payable from the surplus in the winding up of the aforesaid company to all shareholders who have paid up their share capital in full.

COMMERCE MOTORS, LIMITED.
REDUCTION OF CAPITAL.
In the matter of Commerce Motors, Limited, and in the matter of the Companies Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that an Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 7th day of March, 1941, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £10,000 to £3,000, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the said Act, were registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 12th day of March, 1941; and further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following:—
“The capital of Commerce Motors, Limited, henceforth is £3,000 divided into 3,000 shares of £1 each reduced from £10,000 divided into 10,000 shares of £1 each, by (a) extinguishing the liability in respect of uncalled capital to the extent of 8s. per share upon 2,850 shares and returning to the shareholders the amount of capital—namely, 12s. per share paid up thereon and cancelling such shares, and (b) returning to the shareholders the amount of capital—namely, £1 per share paid up on 4,150 shares and cancelling such shares. At the time of the registration of this minute the sum of £1 is to be deemed paid up on each of the said 3,000 shares.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 11th day of March, 1941, cancelled the registry of Cathedral Branch, No. 865, of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 198/112), held at Auckland, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

MATAKI GOLD DREDGING, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 12th day of March, 1941, the following special resolution was duly passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. H. F. O. TWIGDEN, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company for the purpose of such winding up.”
And that at a subsequent meeting of creditors held immediately thereafter the appointment was duly confirmed.
