Education Reserves in North Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., on Tuesday, 29th April, 1941, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVES.

New Lynn Borough.—Whau Town North.

Lot 1 of Allotment 45, Section 1: Area, 1 rood 19·1 perches. Upset annual rent, £2 10s.

Lot 2 of Allotment 45, Section 1: Area, 1 rood 19·1 perches. Upset annual rent, £2 10s.

Lot 1 is situated at the corner of Neville Street and Astley Avenue and Lot 2 at the corner of Neville Street and Portage Road about half a mile from New Lynn Post-office. Good level sections, at present lying fallow, suitable as building-sites.

Form of lease may be perused and any further information required may be obtained at the office of the undersigned.

Town Lands in Nelson Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office.
Nelson, 18th March, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 6th May, 1941.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Thursday, 8th May, 1941, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicants will be required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

The sections are situated within the Westland Mining District and are offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessees whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.
