to be Inspector of Explosives for the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908, for the purposes of inspection of explosives at mines and quarries on and from the 3rd day of February, 1941.

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Motiti Island, on and from the 1st day of February, 1941.
Norman Lindsay Anderson
to be Registrar of Marriages and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Aria, on and from the 22nd day of February, 1941.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, as to the Statutory Closing-day in the Bay of Islands County.
WHEREAS the local authority in the Bay of Islands County has failed to decide what working-day in the week shall be the statutory closing-day for shops in the said county :
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 18 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Saturday to be the statutory closing-day for shops in the Bay of Islands County on and from the 24th day of March, 1941.

Revoking Notice under the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, as to the Control of certain Electrical Materials.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, I hereby revoke the notice dated 14th March, 1940, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of that date at page 396, in relation to certain electrical cable, commonly known as “Tough Rubber Sheathed” or “Cab Tyre Sheathed,” of cross-sectional area equal to or exceeding 0·0045 square inches (7/029” S.W.G.).

Feilding Milk Delivery Scheme 1941, approved.

Wellington, 14th March, 1941.
PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Supply, being satisfied that all the vendors of milk (otherwise than by sale over the counter) in the district specified in the scheme referred to in the Schedule hereto are parties to the scheme or have been given an opportunity of becoming parties thereto, doth hereby approve the said scheme.
SCHEDULE.
FEILDING MILK DELIVERY SCHEME 1941.
- For the purposes of the scheme—
“ The commodity ” means milk, and includes cream :
“ The district ” means the Borough of Feilding, together with adjoining areas as delineated by the demarcation of zones on the plan :
“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. 1184.

The scheme shall come into operation on the day following the date of the publication in the Gazette of notice of the approval of the scheme by the Minister of Supply.

The persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled are as follows :—

Notice of Intention to take the Leasehold Estates or Interests in Land in Block II, Patetere North Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the leasehold estates or interests in the land described in the Schedule hereto (held by Andrew Stewart, of Epsom, Engineer, and Ernest Wilson, of Tirau, Farmer, under renewable leases, Vol. 253, folio 13, and Vol. 252, folio 109, Auckland Registry, respectively) for the purposes of a road. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which the leasehold estates or interests are required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Cambridge, and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said leasehold estates or interests should, if they have any well-grounded objections to such taking, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
