Notice of Intention to take the Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land in Block XVI, Rotorua Survey District, for a Police-station.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, created by a memorandum of lease to Edwin Meyer, of Ngongotaha, Settler, for a term of twenty-five years from the 1st day of July, 1935, and registered in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 16361 for a police-station. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which the leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ngongotaha, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said leasehold estate or interest should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such leasehold estate or interest, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Frank MacKay, of Mosgiel.

Notice respecting proposed abolition of Dipton River District, County of Southland.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 6th March, 1941.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the River Boards Act, 1908, and amendments, praying for the abolition of the Dipton River District, situated in the County of Southland. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed abolition of the district, which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

Price Order No. 25.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Price Tribunal by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, and with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 25.
  2. The maximum price which may be charged for loose milk sold within the Borough of Napier shall be 6d. per quart or 3d. per pint.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Wellington, 13th March, 1941.

IN the Gazette of the 6th March, 1941, No. 19, page 575, under the heading of “Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936,” and subheading “Taking of Fish for Sale,” notice was given of an application for an Industrial Fishing License from S. Greco, sen., to take fish for sale from the fishing-vessel “Tuiti,” using set-nets, drag-nets, long-lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Makara.

The last part of this application should read: “catches to be landed at Napier.”

Canning of Fruit and Vegetables.

AN application has been received from Irvine and Stevenson’s St. George Co., Ltd., for an extension of their existing license covering their branches at Auckland and Dunedin, so as to enable their Motueka factory to carry on the above industry.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 27th March, 1941.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

AN application has been received from W. Wade, 91 Raven Street, Kaiapoi, for a license to take fish for sale (around Christchurch) by means of the fishing-vessel “Nancy,” LN. 158, using trawl-nets, set-nets, long-lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Motunau.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 27th March, 1941.
