HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £25,000, known as “Reticulation Loan, 1940,” authorized to be raised by the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of carrying out further reticulation in that part of the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power District comprised in the constituent districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Town District of Taradale, the Borough of Hastings, and the Town District of Havelock North, the said Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirtieth (1/30d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the said constituent districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Town District of Taradale, the Borough of Hastings, and the Town District of Havelock North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnerships existing between (a) HERBERT GRAY CORBETT, of Otorohanga, Solicitor, and ALFRED BURTON ROE MOSSMAN, of Otorohanga, Solicitor, has been dissolved as from the date of death of the former on the 17th day of January, 1939; (b) KENNETH WILLIAM LOW, of Te Kuiti, Solicitor, and ALFRED BURTON ROE MOSSMAN, of Otorohanga, Solicitor, practising as barristers and solicitors at Otorohanga and Te Kuiti under the name of Corbett, Mossman, and Low, has been dissolved as from the 1st day of April, 1940.

The original practice of Corbett and Mossman is now being carried on by Mr. W. J. C. Patterson at Otorohanga under the name of Corbett, Mossman, and Patterson, and the practice of Corbett, Mossman, and Low at Te Kuiti is being carried on by Mr. K. W. Low.
