Notice under Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

National Service Department,
Wellington, 13th January, 1941.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have issued to—

Gordon Willis Goodman, Labourer, Whakarewa Street, Motueka, Registration No. 432677, on the 7th day of January, 1941; and to

Noel Tasman Hyde, Labourer, 151 Grey Street, Gisborne, Registration No. 432355, and

John Robert Hamerton, Fibrous Plasterer, 16 River Road, Hamilton, Registration No. 433907, on the 9th day of January, 1941,

notices calling them up for service overseas with the armed Forces as being reservists of Class A of the First Division of the General Reserve, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a class of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the Native Land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Hokianga Development Scheme.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of Native land in the Tokerau Native Land Court District, situate in Blocks II and III, Waoku Survey District, and known as the Waima South A Block, containing 1,460 acres 0 roods 1·4 perches, more or less, and being the whole of the land in Provisional Register, Vol. 32, folio 93, North Auckland Registry.

Dated at Wellington, this 9th day of January, 1941.
