to be a member of the Board of Appeal for the purposes of
the Public Service Amendment Act, 1927, and the Chairman
thereof, such appointment to be for a period of three years
on and from the 10th day of February, 1941, and

James Havelock Jerram, Esquire, I.S.O.,
to be a member of the Board of Appeal for the purposes of
the Public Service Amendment Act, 1927, such appointment
to be for a period of three years on and from the 10th day of
February, 1941.

Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Gore, Mataura, and Wyndham) Order
1941.

PURSUANT to the Oil Fuel Retail Hours Emergency
Regulations (No. 2) 1940, and pursuant to a requisition
in writing received in that behalf, I, Patrick Charles Webb,
Minister of Labour, do hereby direct as follows :--

  1. This Order may be cited as the Oil Fuel Retail Hours
    (Gore, Mataura, and Wyndham) Order 1941.

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 10th day of
    March, 1941.

  3. This Order shall apply to all establishments engaged
    in the sale by retail of oil fuel and situate within the
    Boroughs of Gore and Mataura and the Town District of
    Wyndham.

  4. On and after the coming into force of this Order all
    such establishments, except as hereinafter provided, shall
    be closed for the sale of oil fuel for the whole of every Sunday,
    and shall be opened for the sale of oil fuel on every Monday,
    Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m.,
    on every Friday from 8 a.m. till 9 p.m., and on every Saturday
    from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m., and shall be closed at all other times
    on the said respective days.

  5. In every successive week commencing upon the coming
    into force of this Order one of the establishments hereinafter
    named, in the Borough of Gore, shall in the weekly rotation
    hereinafter set out be opened for the sale of oil fuel on every
    Sunday from 10 a.m. till noon and from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m.,
    and on every Saturday from 1 p.m. till 6 p.m.

Order of Rotation.
Name of Establishments.
First week .. .. Gordon Service Station.
Second week .. .. East Gore Service Station.
Third week .. .. Gormack, Wilkes, Davidson, Ltd.
Fourth week .. .. Gore Service Station.

  1. On every Sunday McErlean's Service Station, in the
    Borough of Mataura, shall be opened for the sale of oil fuel
    from 10 a.m. till noon and from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m.

  2. Nothing in this Order shall affect the supplying to any
    person on the written authority of an officer of Police of oil
    fuel that may be urgently required at any time while all of
    the above-mentioned establishments are closed in pursuance
    of this Order.
