Vincent Peter Scaletti
to be Registrar of Marriages for the District of Maungaturoto for the purposes of the Marriage Act, 1908, and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Maungaturoto for the purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, on and from 3rd day of November, 1941.
Sergeant William John Kenneth Brown
to be Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Hokitika for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, on and from the 22nd day of November, 1941.
William Keith Dick
to be Deputy Registrar at Masterton of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, on and from the 1st day of December, 1941.
Ernest Lloyd Siddall
to be an Examiner for the purposes of the Stallions Act, 1938, on and from the 19th day of November, 1941.
Francis Xavier O’Neill
to be Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Denniston for the Purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Regulations 1924, on and from the 31st day of October, 1941.
Walter Abel Trask
to be Registrar of Marriages for the District of Featherston for the purposes of the Marriage Act, 1908, and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Featherston for the purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, on and from the 7th day of November, 1941.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block X, Tauhara Survey District, for Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waitahanui and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Notice calling up Reservist for Service with the Territorial Force.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have this day issued to—
Jeremiah McGrath, Bushman, 101 Queen Street, Westport, Registration No. 619259,
a notice calling him up for service with the Territorial Force, such person having been convicted for that, being a reservist belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.
