Lieutenant-Colonel D. H. W. H. Donaldson, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed General Staff Officer, Ist Grade (Operations and Intelligence), Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 10th December, 1940.
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Lieutenant D. Stuart to be Captain. Dated 26th November, 1940.
Captain C. C. Marsack to be Major whilst holding the appointment of Senior Ship's Quartermaster. Dated 13th November, 1940.
Captain Edward Joseph Kenny (Indian Army, Retired), to be Captain. Dated 14th September, 1940.
Captain E. J. Kenny is appointed General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade (Training), (Expeditionary Force), Army Headquarters, Wellington, vice Captain D. V. Thomas, seconded to the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 23rd November, 1940.

No. 4 (EAST COAST) SQUADRON MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant T. A. Snelling, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Captain, and is appointed to command the Squadron. Dated 1st October, 1940.
N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Major Ernest Marsden, C.B.E., M.C., D.Sc., F.R.S.N.Z., Retired List, to be Lieutenant-Colonel, and is attached to Army Headquarters, Wellington, as Scientific Adviser to the New Zealand Fighting Services. Dated 7th December, 1940.
Major E. J. Phillips, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Major, with seniority from 15th February, 1937, and is posted to the 4th Battery, 2nd Field Regiment. Dated 15th October, 1940.
Lieutenant L. J. Pickering, 5th Battery, 3rd Field Regiment, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 10. Dated 5th December, 1940.
