IT is hereby notified that the orders of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder have been made by the Native Land Court under the provisions of the Native Land Act, 1931.

Lands in the Auckland Land District forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and license of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Reserve in Nelson Land District for Lease by Public Tender.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 11th September, 1940.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned stock-resting reserve is open for lease by public tender under the provisions of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and tenders will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up till 11 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, the 23rd October, 1940.
Tenders must be enclosed in sealed envelopes addressed to the undersigned and marked on the outside “Tender for stock-resting reserve,” and be accompanied by the first half-year’s rent at the rate tendered, together with a lease fee of £1 1s.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
PART Section 8, Block J, Motupiko Survey District: Area, 60 acres. Minimum annual rental, £9.
Situated at Kikiwa on the Main Tophouse Road. All flat to undulating land, and adjoining the Motupiko River on the back boundary. Soil of fair to poor quality.
Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Lease.
(1) Term of lease: Fourteen years from 1st January, 1941, without right of renewal.
(2) Six months’ rent and £1 1s. lease fee to be paid on acceptance of tender and thereafter rent payable half-yearly in advance on the first days of January and July each year.
(3) Lease to contain no right of compensation for any improvements effected.
(4) Lessee to keep the land free from all noxious weeds and rabbits.
(5) Lessee to pay all rates, taxes, and other assessments accruing on the said land.
(6) Lessee to have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the demised land except with the prior written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Nelson.
(7) The right of ingress, egress, and regress over and upon the demised land to be given at all times to the general public to hold picnics and sports meetings.
(8) Lessee to provide accommodation at all times for travelling stock at the following rates:—
For cattle, not exceeding ten in number, 3d. per head per day, and for each head in excess of ten, 2d. per day:
For sheep, not exceeding thirty in number, 2d. per head per day, and for each head in excess of thirty, 1d. per day.
