Being closed road adjoining Railway land.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 97236, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of September, 1940.

Boundaries of Johnsonville Town District altered.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that as on and from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty, the boundaries of the Town District of Johnsonville shall be altered by including therein the area described in the First Schedule hereto, such area being now portion of the County of Makara; and that the boundaries of the said town district with such alteration as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN TOWN DISTRICT OF JOHNSONVILLE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being part of Section 13, Porirua Registration District, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, and being part of the land shown on D.P. 11235, bounded on the south by a public road 111·96 links, on the west by Ohariu Road 57·0 links, and on the north-east by other part of said Section 13, 137·38 links.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
TOWN DISTRICT OF JOHNSONVILLE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Section 4, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 105, Ohariu Registration District, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, to the southernmost corner of the said Section 105; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of said Section 105, Ohariu, to the north-western corner of Section 96, Ohariu Registration District; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Section 96 aforesaid, to the northern side of the Old Ohariu Road; thence north-westerly along the northern side of that road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 94, Ohariu Registration District; thence along a right line to the north-western corner of Section 94 aforesaid; thence along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 94 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Sections 95 and 107, Ohariu Registration District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 107, Ohariu Registration District, to the westernmost corner of Section 6, Porirua Registration District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Section 6 to the western side of the old Porirua Road; thence northerly generally along the western side of the Old Porirua Road to a point in line with the northern side of Hutchen Street; thence along that line to the eastern side of the Old Porirua Road; thence northerly along the eastern side of that road to the north-eastern boundary of Section 9, Porirua Registration District; thence along that boundary to the south-eastern corner of Lot 37 on plan 1637, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence along the eastern boundary of that lot to Chamberlain Road; thence along the southern side of Chamberlain Road to a point in line with the eastern side of Kensington Street; thence along the eastern and southern sides of Kensington Street to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 10 on plan 2422, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence to and along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Lot 10; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Lot 11 for a distance of 26·6 links; thence along right lines bearing 45° distance 1295·7 links, bearing 18° 8′ 40″ distance 811·15 links, to the southern boundary of the Paparangi Settlement; thence north-westerly along the southern boundary of the Paparangi Settlement to the Main North Road (Porirua Road); thence south-westerly along the eastern side of that road to a point in line with the southern boundary of the Hawtrey Settlement; thence by a right line across that road to O.P. VIII, as shown on plan 268/29, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington; thence north-westerly along a right line to Peg 1, on said plan 268/29, on the eastern side of Ohariu Road; thence along the eastern side of Ohariu Road and Bassett Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 21, Block III, Hawtrey Settlement; thence to and along that boundary to the north-western corner of said Section 21; thence along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block V, Hawtrey Settlement; thence along the northern boundary of Sections 2 and 1, Block V, Hawtrey Settlement, to the north-western corner of the said Section 1; thence along a right line across Halswell Street to the south-eastern corner of Section 7, Block IV, Hawtrey Settlement; thence along the southern and western boundaries of Section 7 aforesaid, to the north-eastern corner of Section 10, Block IV aforesaid; thence along the northern boundary of said Section 10 to its north-western corner; thence along the production of the northern boundary of the said Section 10 to the western side of Clifford Road; thence southerly along the western side of Clifford Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 10, Block II, Hawtrey Settlement; thence along the northern boundary of Section 10, Block II aforesaid, and its production to the western side of Ohariu Road; thence northerly along the western side of Ohariu Road to the northernmost corner of Section 5, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of said Section 5 to Wakefield Road; thence south-easterly along the eastern side of Wakefield Road to the south-western boundary of Section 5 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the said south-western boundary of Section 5 to Wakefield Road; thence along a right line across Wakefield Road to the north-western corner of Section 6; thence along the north-western and western boundaries of said Section 6 to its south-western corner; thence along the southern side of Wakefield Road and the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement, to the south-western corner of the said Section 4, the place of commencement.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Hobson County, containing by admeasurement 513 acres, more or less, and being Section 8, Block XV, Tutamoe Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 8/31, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 110551.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of September, 1940.
