Election of Members of the Piako Federated Bobby Calf Pool Committee.

PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, notice has been received that

James Joseph Shine, and
Neils Ernest Mikkelsen

have been duly elected to be members of the Piako Federated Bobby Calf Pool Committee established by the said Regulations, vice Charles Alfred Deihl, resigned.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in a fraudulent undertaking, it is hereby ordered under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name) or directed to the address mentioned in the Schedule hereunder without a name shall be registered or forwarded by the post-office of New Zealand.

Classification of Road in Hutt County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant, classifying roads in the Hutt County, dated the 8th day of August, 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62 of the 9th day of August, 1934, at page 2454, in so far as it relates to the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and does hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Hutt County.


SCHEDULE.

HUTT COUNTY.

ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5 tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5½ tons on any one axle.

All that main highway known as the Haywards-Parernata via Pahautanui Main Highway No. 574.

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1940.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Excluding Streets and Roads from Limitation as to Speed imposed by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke those portions of the Warrant dated the 21st day of December, 1936, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 92 of the 22nd day of December, 1936, at page 2511, in so far as it applies to the streets described in the First Schedule hereto and does hereby exclude the streets described in the Second Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Manurewa Borough—

Great South Road (all that portion from the northern boundary of Manurewa Borough to the junction of the Great South Road with Halsey Road, a distance of approximately 38 chains).

SITUATED within Papakura Borough—

Great South Road (all that portion from its junction with South Street to the southern boundary of Papakura Borough, a distance of approximately 45 chains).


SECOND SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Manurewa Borough—

Great South Road (all that portion from a point 5 chains measured along the said road in a northerly direction from its junction with Corin Avenue to the northern boundary of Manurewa Borough, a distance of approximately 54 chains).

SITUATED within Papakura Borough—

Great South Road (all that portion from a point 4 chains south of its junction with Beach Road to the southern boundary of Papakura Borough, a distance of approximately 23 chains).

Revoking Warrant declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality and declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke that Warrant dated the 15th day of May, 1939, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 34 of the 18th day of May, 1939, at page 1514, which refers to portion of the area described in the Schedule hereto and does hereby declare the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein, shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.


SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Clutha County—

All that area of the Dunedin-Invercargill Main Highway No. 101 adjacent to the Borough of Balclutha, and bounded to the south-west by a right line across the said main highway at a distance of 44 chains measured along the centre-line of the said main highway in a south-westerly direction from the western boundary of Balclutha Borough, as now constituted; bounded to the north-west by the north-western boundary of the said main highway; bounded to the east by the western boundary of Balclutha Borough, as now constituted; and bounded to the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of the said main highway; the whole area being indicated by the plan marked TT. 1643, deposited at the office of the Transport Department at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
