HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments to and promotions in the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force and that the officers be seconded from the units shown after their names. All ranks are temporary:—
2ND N.Z. EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
17th Light Aid Detachment, N.Z. Ordnance Corps.
With reference to the notice published in New Zealand Gazette No. 16 dated 29th February, 1940, relative to the appointment of 2nd Lieutenant N. L. W. Uniacke, add “Dated 17th January, 1940.”
20th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion.
With reference to the notices published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1, dated 11th January, 1940, and the New Zealand Gazette No. 14, dated 22nd February, 1940, relative to the appointments of officers, for “2nd Lieutenant J. D. Aitken” substitute “2nd Lieutenant John Douglas Aiken.”

With reference to notice published in New Zealand Gazette No. 66 dated 27th June, 1940, relative to the appointments of officers, for “2nd Lieutenant H. MacCaskill” read “2nd Lieutenant H. Macaskill,” and for “2nd Lieutenant A. Elworthy” read “2nd Lieutenant A. C. Elworthy.”
