Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II (Unclaimed Lands).

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiry with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder and the whereabouts of the owner thereof and have, in respect of the said lands, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act and have in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent hereto: And whereas the owner has not established his title to the said lands as required by that Act: I hereby give notice that the said lands are under and by virtue of that Act vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid as from the date of the publication hereof and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, the value of the lands for the purposes of section 67 (d) of that Act being less than five hundred pounds (£500).

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land situate in the Parish of Ahipara, County of Mongonui, containing by admeasurement 40 acres, more or less, being the southern part of Allotment 35, Parish of Ahipara : Bounded on the north by other part of the said Allotment 35, 2960 (or 3960) links ; on the east by a road 100 links wide, 1090 links, on the south by Allotment 33, 3704 links ; and on the west by a road of the width aforesaid, and being the land included in a Crown grant made to William Mudd, of Takapuna, Settler.

All that piece of land situate in the Parish of Ahipara, County of Mongonui, containing by admeasurement 40 acres, more or less, being the southern middle part of Allotment 35, Parish of Ahipara: Bounded on the north by other part of Allotment 35, 4426 links; and on the east by a road 100 links wide, 990 links; on the south by other part of Allotment 35 aforesaid, 3960 (or 2960) links; and on the west by a road of width aforesaid, and being the whole of the land included in an unregistered Crown grant to Charles Vince, of Takapuna, Settler.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935.

PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 20th day of June, 1940, ordered that the name of Owen Robert Thomas, of Auckland, be struck off the Rolls of Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 6th August, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 16th September, 1940.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 18th September, 1940, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-SECOND-CLASS LAND. Mangonui County.-Rangaunu Survey District.

SECTION 29, Block VIII : Area, 99 acres 2 roods 10 perches. Capital value, £100. Deposit on deferred payments, £5. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £3 1s. 9d. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £2.

Weighted with £22 (payable in cash) for improvements comprising 42 chains of boundary fencing.

This section is situated on the main Awanui-Mangonui Highway, six miles and a half from Awanui Port by a good metalled road, eleven miles from the Town of Kaitaia, and one mile and a half from the Kaingaroa School and Post-office. The section is about two-thirds plateau the balance being easy hills, all ploughable, and covered in blackberry, fern, tea-tree, and rushes. The soil is of light fibrous clay; watered by a spring. Section is suitable for an adjoining owner only.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 6th August, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for sale for cash by public auction at the North. Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Government Buildings, Auckland, at 2.30 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 24th September, 1940, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-SUBURBAN LAND. One Tree Hill Borough.-Otahuhu Survey District.

LOT 1, D.P. 29572, part Allotment 1, Section 17, Suburbs of Auckland: Area, 3 roods 17·3 perches. Upset price, £315. Upset price includes the value of the land and all improvements thereon comprising wooden shed (88 ft. by 67 ft.), three-roomed cottage, old car-shed, stone wall, and concrete incinerator.

The property, which was formerly owned by the Kauri-gum Control Board, is situated in Station Road, Penrose, almost adjacent to the Railway-station. Practically level section, with some rock outcrops, suitable for factory-site, Penrose being an industrial centre, six miles from Auckland Chief Post Office.

NOTE.-The attention of intending purchasers is drawn to the fact that the land is subject to a fencing covenant, and also to the fact that the cottage is let on weekly tenancy and the land will be sold subject to this tenancy.
