PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment
Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares
the lands described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to
Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Maniapoto
Development Scheme.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under
Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Fish Retailing.
NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been
received from-
(a) L. R. Franks and C. H. Cato, trading as Empire
Fisheries, for a license to commence the business of
fish retailing at premises at 171 Gladstone Road,
Gisborne.
(b) M. Hope for a license to commence the business of
fish retailing at premises at Taradale.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected
by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications,
and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must
furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the
undersigned not later than the 22nd August, 1940. All
representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and
(where applicable) include a statement showing the average
monthly turnover of the business of the person making the
representations, and the extent to which it is considered
the granting of these applications would affect such turnover.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been
received as under:-
(a) From the following licensed fish wholesalers for extensions of the scope of their respective licenses so as to permit
them to continue the sale by wholesale of oysters (other
than rock-oysters):-
(i) W. G. Robertson, Richardson Street, Dunedin.
(ii) P. Feron and Son, Ltd., 303 Moorhouse Avenue,
Christchurch.
(iii) N.Z. Fisheries, Ltd., Wakefield Street, Wellington.
(b) From the following licensed fish wholesalers for extensions of the scope of their respective licenses so as to permit
them to commence the sale by wholesale of oysters (other
than rock-oysters):-
(i) National Mortgage and Agency Co., of N.Z., Ltd.,
Dunedin.
(ii) Nelson Fisheries, Ltd., Nelson.

(d) From the following for Fish Wholesaler's Licenses to
permit them to commence the sale by wholesale of oysters
(other than rock-oysters) only:-
(i) P. Collins, 271 Stuart Street, Dunedin.
(ii) C. Christie, 100 Molesworth Street, Wellington.
(iii) J. S. Rossi, 13 Richmond Street, Kingsland, Auckland.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected
by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications,
and who wishes to make representations accordingly must
furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the
undersigned not later than the 15th August, 1940. Any
such person may in addition, if he so desires and indicates
accordingly in his written representations, make verbal
representations at a special meeting of the Bureau of Industry,
to be held on Tuesday, 20th August, 1940, to consider the
applications.
