Easements taken over Land for the Purposes of a Drain in the Borough of Lower Hutt.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, as amended by section sixty-two of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1939, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that easements over the land described in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken vesting in His Majesty the King full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to lay, construct, place, maintain, and use a sewerage drain in, under, and over the lands aforesaid; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of August, 1940.

Easements taken over Land in Blocks III and IV, Tokomaru Survey District, for the Purposes of Rights of Way and for the Purpose of laying Electric-power Lines.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, as amended by section sixty-two of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1939, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that easements over the lands described in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken vesting in His Majesty the King full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to construct and use rights of way, with the right for His Majesty’s servants, agents, and workmen from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass, with or without horses or other animals or vehicles over the said lands and to maintain, repair, and keep open the said rights of way and to erect, maintain, repair, and renew electric-power lines in, under, over, or along the lands aforesaid; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

Abolishing the Kaipara River District, County of Waitemata.

——

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the River Boards Act, 1908, as amended by the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor-General may, on petition signed by not less than a majority of the ratepayers of a river district, abolish any such district:

And whereas a petition signed as aforesaid has been duly presented, praying that the Kaipara River District, established under the said River Boards Act, 1908, may be abolished:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Kaipara River District shall be and the same is hereby abolished.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of August, 1940.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua County, containing by admeasurement 888 acres 1 rood, more or less, and being the eastern parts of Sections 3s, 4s, and 5s, Maruia Settlement, Block IV, Rahu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 121/6, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of July, 1940.
