Gazette of the second day of May of that year, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes in the Schedule of the said Warrant specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be permanently reserved for which purposes the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 11·7 perches, more or less, being Section 10 and part of Section 9, Tiniroto Village, Block XV, Hangaroa Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Sections 12 and 13, distance 579·1 links, bearing 259° 23′; towards the south-west by a public road, distance 496·6 links, bearing 135° 10′, and distance 89 links, bearing 169° 26′; towards the south-east by a public road, distance 300 links, bearing 79° 23′; towards the north-east by Section 24, distance 500 links, bearing 349° 26′; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/7/223A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Borough of Taihape, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 0 roods 26·3 perches, more or less, being part of Section 81, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, bounded: Commencing at the westernmost corner of the said Section 81, towards the north-west and north-east by a public road 699·9 links and 365·72 links; thence towards the north-east by other part of the said Section 81, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, distance 112·16 links, bearing 164° 46′ 35″; thence towards the south-east by a public road 942·91 links; and towards the south-west by Lot 2 of Section 82, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, 568·5 links to the point of commencement; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. Land temporarily reserved in the North Auckland Land District for Recreation Purposes.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the North Auckland Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for recreation purposes.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, being Section 24, Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1073, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 31039.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of July, 1940.
