NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at Kaikohe on the 31st July, 1940, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions in respect of applications for licenses were made on the 8th July, 1940.

To continue in the industry of “the manufacture and/or assembly of secondary or storage cells and batteries, commonly known as wet batteries or any part or parts thereof” to the extent of assembling complete batteries and of manufacturing cell connections, plate-group posts, plate-group bridges, and main battery terminals Granted.
Manufacture of Footwear.
Mason and Taylor, Kawakawa .. To engage in the industry of “the manufacture for sale of footwear” to the extent of manufacturing women’s evening shoes by the “cemented” method Granted. Sales to be confined to applicants’ own shop only.
