NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations
Act, 1936, of the making of the above-entitled regula-
tions under the above-entitled Act.

Serial number: 1940/150.
Date of enactment: 3rd day of July, 1940.

THE INDUSTRY NOTIFICATION (FRUIT AND VEGETABLE
RETAILING) NOTICE 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations
Act, 1936, of the making of the above-entitled regula-
tions under the above-entitled Act.

Serial number: 1940/151.
Date of enactment: 9th day of July, 1940.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IV, Waihi South
Survey District, for a Pumice-pit.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a
certain public work-to wit, the construction of a pumice-pit-
and for the purposes of such public work the land described in
the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is
hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the post-office at Ohinepane and is there
open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said
land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land,
set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IV, Heretaunga
Survey District, for the Use, Convenience, and Enjoyment of
an Aerodrome (Aeradio Receiving-station).

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the
land described in the Schedule hereto for the use, convenience,
and enjoyment of an aerodrome (aeradio receiving-station):
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Napier
and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected
by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the
same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from
the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
9 acres 2 roods 16 perches.
Being part Lot 1, D.P. 6211, being part of the Ahuriri Lagoon.
Situated in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District (Hawke's
Bay R.D.). (S.O. 1216, green.)

In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 101064,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon edged red.

approve of the following promotions, appointments,
transfers, &c., of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force:

Wing Commander Arthur de Terrotte Nevill to be Group
Captain (temporary). Dated 1st July, 1940.

Wing Commander (temporary). Dated 1st July, 1940.

Flight Lieutenants (temporary). Dated 1st July, 1940:

in the General Duties Branch in the rank of Pilot Officer
(on probation). Dated 28th June, 1940.

Relinquishment.

Pilot Officer William Frederick Jordan relinquishes his
commission in the Royal New Zealand Air Force on
appointment to a commission in the Royal Air Force
Volunteer Reserve. Dated 13th December, 1939.
