Appointments in the New Zealand Naval Forces and Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand).

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments in the New Zealand Naval Forces and Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand):-

Mr. George Pitt, Gunner, Royal Navy, appointed to H.M.S. "Achilles" additional, to date 6th May, 1940, and vice Burchell, from date of joining.

Lieutenant Ronald Francis Hull, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), appointed to H.M.S. "Philomel" additional, for duty on the staff of the Captain-in-Charge, Auckland, temporarily, to date 23rd June, 1940.

Lieutenant John George Hilliard, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), promoted to rank of Lieutenant-Commander, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), to date 19th June, 1940.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following changes in appointments of officers of the New Zealand Regular Force:-

STAFF.

Lieutenant-Colonel C. W. Salmon, D.C.M., N.Z. Temporary Staff, relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Quartermaster-General and is appointed Deputy Quartermaster-General (1), Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Major (temporary Lieutenant-Colonel) W. R. Burge, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Director of Ordnance Services and is appointed Deputy Quartermaster-General (2), Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Major V. J. Innes, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Staff Officer "Q" Duties, and is appointed Staff Officer, Movements and Quartering, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Major H. M. W. Richardson, D.S.O., M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Chief Engineer, and is appointed Staff Officer, Fortifications and Works, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Captain (temporary Major) E. L. G. Bown, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Ordnance Officer, Main Ordnance Depot, and is appointed Chief Ordnance Officer, Main Ordnance Depot, Trentham. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Captain (temporary Major) H. E. Erridge, N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Ordnance Officer, and is appointed Staff Officer, Ordnance Services, and Commanding Officer, N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Captain S. B. Wallace, B.E., N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Ordnance Mechanical Engineer, and is appointed Chief Ordnance Mechanical Engineer, Trentham. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Captain D. Nicol, M.B.E., N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps, to be Deputy Chief Ordnance Officer, Main Ordnance Depot, Trentham, in addition to his appointment as District Ordnance Officer, Central Military District. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Captain J. H. Sharp, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Supply and Transport Officer, and is appointed Staff Officer, Supplies and Transport, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Lieutenant F. D. McWha, N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Ordnance Officer and is appointed Ordnance Mechanical Engineer, Trentham. Dated 22nd June, 1940.

Hon. Lieutenant J. W. Evers, N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps, is appointed Assistant Ordnance Mechanical Engineer, Trentham. Dated 22nd June, 1940.
