FRED SLADEN AND SONS, LIMITED.

In the mater of the Companies Act, 1937, and in
the matter of FRED SLADEN AND SONS, LIMITED, a
duly incorporated company having its registered
office in the City of Christchurch.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the
Supreme Court dated the 7th day of June, 1940,
confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-
named company from £24,000 to £16,000 and the
minute approved by the Court showing with respect
to the capital of the company as altered the several
particulars required by the above statute were
registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 14th
day of June, 1940; and further take notice that the
said minute is in the words and figures following :—
“The capital of Fred Sladen and Sons, Limited,
henceforth is £16,000 divided into 10,000 5 per
cent. non-cumulative preference shares of 13s. 4d.
each, and 14,000 ordinary shares at 13s. 4d. each,
instead of the original capital of £24,000 divided
into 10,000 5 per cent. non-cumulative preference
shares of £1 each and 14,000 ordinary shares
of £1 each.”
At the time of the registration of this minute each
of the said 24,000 shares has been issued and is to
be deemed to be fully paid up.

FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT, 1909.

Advertisement of Cancelling.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of
Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of
the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his
hand dated this 19th day of June, 1940, cancelled the
registry of the Okaihau Medical Association (Register
No. 386), held at Okaihau, on the ground that the said
society has ceased to exist.

Notice of Meeting.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of creditors
of the above company will be held in Room 528,
D.I.C. Building, Wellington, at noon on Friday, the
12th day of July, 1940, for the purpose of having an
account laid before them showing the manner in
which the winding up of the company has been con-
ducted, and the property of the company disposed of,
and hearing any explanation that may be given by the
liquidator, and also of determining the manner in
which the books, accounts, and documents of the
company, and of the liquidator, shall be disposed of.
