Classification of Roads in Waitemata County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke the Warrants described in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as they relate to the classification of roads in the Waitemata County and does hereby approve of the Waitemata County Council’s proposed classification of the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto and situated in the Waitemata County.

WAITEMATA COUNTY.

ROADS classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5 tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5½ tons on any one axle.

Main Highways.

Auckland–Maungaturoto Main Highway No. 1 (that portion within Waitemata County from the northern boundary of Birkenhead Borough to the Albany Bridge).

Auckland–Wainui Road via Takapuna Main Highway No. 10.

Auckland–Helensville Main Highway No. 13 (that portion within Waitemata County from the northern boundary of Henderson Town District to the western boundary of Helensville Town District).

Helensville–Waiwera Main Highway No. 13 (that portion in Waitemata County from its junction with the Auckland–Maungaturoto Main Highway to the Waiwera Wharf).

Parkhurst Main Highway No. 382.

Henderson–Kumeu via Swanson Main Highway No. 384 (that portion within Waitemata County from the northern boundary of Henderson Town District to its junction with the Waitakere Scenic Drive Main Highway).
