THE following special order made by the Waitotara County Council on the 14th day of May, 1940, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Waitotara County Council hereby resolves and declares by special order that the plant mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being a plant mentioned in the Second Schedule in the said Act) is a noxious weed within the Waitotara County.

Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registration.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the New Zealand Felt Hatters’ Industrial Association of Workers, registered number 1628, situated at Dunedin, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial association after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime, cause is shown to the contrary.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Taking of Fish for Sale.
NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been received from—
(1) A. Heberley for a license to take fish for sale at Picton by means of the 38 ft. fishing-vessel “Orea” using drag-nets and hand lines.
(2) P. McCloskey, Blenheim, for a license to take fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “Taniwha” using trawl-nets in Cloudy Bay.
Any persons who consider they will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 27th June, 1940.

Fish Retailing.
NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from H. L. Tozer for a license to conduct the business of fish retailing at premises in High Street, Carterton.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 20th June, 1940. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and (where applicable) include a statement showing the average monthly turnover of the business of the person making the representations, and the extent to which it is considered the granting of this application would affect such turnover.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirits.
NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from J. A. White, Limited, for permission to transfer two petrol pumps from premises at 260 Cumberland Street to a new position in front of premises at the corner of Castle and Hanover Streets, Dunedin, at the same time eliminating the three other pumps at the present site.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 20th June, 1940. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold, and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.
