A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section two hundred and seven of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the course of the Oreti River shall be altered or diverted within the area of land described in the Schedule hereto.

THAT portion of Section 20, situated in Block XVI, New River Hundred, and containing an area of 2 acres 2 roods 24 perches.
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106560, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the Port Robinson Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said Port Robinson Domain.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 7 perches, more or less, being the piece of road closed by Proclamation dated the 19th day of March, 1940, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th April, 1940, at page 639, and now known as Reserve 4422, situated in Block XI, Cheviot Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/3494, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon bordered red,

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £47,000 by the Wellington City Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of June, 1940.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Wellington City Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) being desirous of raising the sum of forty-seven thousand pounds (£47,000) by a loan to be known as “Wellington City Street Widening Renewal Loan, 1919, Repayment Loan, 1930, Repayment Loan, 1940” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of repaying in London to the extent to which sinking funds are insufficient the Wellington City Street Widening Renewal Loan, 1919, Repayment Loan, 1930, which matures on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty, has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council as required by the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of forty-seven thousand pounds (£47,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty (20) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds seventeen shillings and sixpence (£3 17s. 6d.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no instalments shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
