The Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, Amendment No. 1.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of May, 1940.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.

REGULATIONS.

  1. These regulations may be cited as the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, Amendment No. 1.

  2. These regulations shall be read together with and form part of the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940 (hereinafter called the principal regulations).

  3. These regulations shall come into force on the 1st day of June, 1940.

  4. Regulation 1 of the principal regulations is amended by revoking the words “Classes A, B, C, and D inclusive” where used in the definition of “farmer’s truck” in clause (3) thereof, and substituting the following words: “Classes A, B, C, D, E, and F inclusive”.

  5. Regulation 10 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting at the beginning of clause (5) the words “The owner of”.

  6. Regulation 14 of the principal regulations is amended by revoking the words “Diagram No. 3 H” where used in clause (3) thereof, and substituting the following words: “Diagram No. 3”.
