Waitomo County.—Maungamangero Survey District.
SECTION 1, Block X, Section 6, Block X, and Section 14,
Block XI: Area, 417 acres 3 roods 23 perches. Capital
value, £375. Deposit on deferred payments, £25. Half-
yearly instalment on deferred payments, £11 7s. 6d. Renewable
able lease : Half-yearly rent, £7 10s.
Weighted with £350 (payable in cash) for improvements,
comprising dwelling, four rooms (incomplete), cow-shed,
boundary, road boundary, and subdivisional fencing, clearing
and grassing.
This property which, when developed will be suitable for
mixed farming, is situated on Mangaotaki Road, thirteen
miles from Piopio Post-office, Dairy Factory, and Saleyards ;
half a mile from Haku School, and twenty-eight miles from
Te Kuiti Railway-station; access is by metalled road from
Te Kuiti. The sections comprise mainly easy undulating
country of which 200 acres are ploughable, 200 acres in worn-
out pasture, balance in fern and scrub; property is watered
by running streams and springs. Ragwort is in evidence
and requires immediate attention.

Land in Wellington Land District for Selection on Optional
Tenures.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property
is open for selection on optional tenures under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 12 o'clock
noon on Monday, 24th June, 1940.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday,
26th June, 1940, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when
examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from
managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms,
or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial

Kiwitea County.—Apiti Survey District.
(Native Land Settlement.)
PART Section 43, and Lot 1 of Section 44, Block I: Area,
342 acres 3 roods 12 perches. Capital value, £2,170. Deposit
on deferred payments, £110. Half-yearly instalment on
deferred payments, £66 19s. Renewable lease : Half-yearly
rent, £54 5s.
Weighted with £2,462 for improvements, comprising
dwelling, garage, implement-shed, cow-byre, whare, yards,
four dams, fencing, felling and grassing, and 9 acres swedes.
The buildings consist of dwelling, garage, implement-shed,
cow-byre, man's room, some being in poor condition. This
sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit
of £662, the balance, amounting to £1,800, may be left on
mortgage to the State Advances Corporation for a term of
thirty years with interest at 4½ per cent. per annum
reducible to 4¼ per cent. per annum. Half-yearly instal-
ments £55 15s. 6d. (gross).
This property is situated on the Mangaweka Road about
six miles from Ohingaiti Post-office and Railway-station and
opposite the Otamakapua School; about nine miles from
Rangiwahia Dairy Factory and twelve miles from Mangaweka
Saleyards. Access is by good metalled road from Ohingaiti
or Rangiwahia. The land consists of easy undulating to
hilly country about 120 acres being ploughable in patches;
the soil being light loam resting on papa and sandstone.
Altitude 1,000 ft. to 1,300 ft. The section is subdivided
into fourteen paddocks and is suitable for grazing, although
a small dairy herd, together with breeding ewes could be
carried. There are a few rabbits and some sweet briar in
evidence. Some 100 acres are in good pasture, 230 acres
felled and grassed, 9 acres in swedes, and balance in gullies, &c.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution
of the Wellington Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act,
