Notice of Intention to take the Leasehold Interest in Additional Land for Housing Purposes in the Borough of Hamilton.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the estate of leasehold (held by George Jack, of Hamilton, Builder, from His Majesty the King by virtue of a Memorandum of Lease registered in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 16301) in the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of such land is deposited in the post-office at Hamilton, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said estate of leasehold should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking thereof, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the estate of leasehold is to be taken: 2 roods 37·56 perches. Being portion of Lot 5, D.P. 23358, being part Allotments 95, 96, and 97, Town of Hamilton East.
Situated in Block II, Hamilton Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30592.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106892, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1940.
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Brighton View Extension No. 6, affecting Section 4A, Duncan Settlement, Block VIII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the proposed road shown thereon as John Street should be of the width of 66 ft.: Now, therefore, I, Frank Langstone, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1) of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of John Street of a width of not less than 40 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
