GALWAY, Governor-General.
A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and the estate of leasehold in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto (held from His Majesty the King by Gloria Maude Spencer under and by virtue of lease registered in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 12440) are hereby taken for defence purposes; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of May, 1940.

Land taken for a Recreation-ground in the Borough of New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a recreation-ground, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 107185, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of May, 1940.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a quarry; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 4 acres 2 roods 11·6 perches.

Being portion of Section 7, Block VIII, Rangaunu Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30459.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 104445, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of May, 1940.
