The King’s Birthday Emergency Regulations 1940.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of May, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Emergency Regulations Act, 1939, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.
REGULATIONS.

These regulations may be cited as the King’s Birthday Emergency Regulations 1940.

The reference in the Sovereign’s Birthday Observance Act, 1937, to the first Monday in June shall in respect of the year 1940 have no force or effect.

In respect of the said year 1940, all references to the Sovereign’s Birthday shall be deemed to be references to such date as may hereafter be fixed in that behalf by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
