Meeting of the General Assembly for the Despatch of Business.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
A PROCLAMATION.
To the LEGISLATIVE COUNCILLORS of the Dominion of New Zealand, and the Members elected to serve in the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES of the said Dominion: GREETING.

WHEREAS the General Assembly has been summoned to meet on the thirteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty:
And whereas for certain causes and considerations I have thought fit to convene such meeting for a date earlier than the said date:

Now, therefore, know ye that you and each of you, and all others in this behalf interested, are hereby commanded and by the tenor of these presents enjoined to be and appear personally for the DESPATCH OF BUSINESS on Thursday, the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty, at half past two o'clock in the afternoon, in the Parliament Houses, situate in Bowen Street, in the City of Wellington, there to take into consideration the state and welfare of the said Dominion of New Zealand and therein to do as may seem necessary.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of May, 1940.
