Declaring a Portion of Railway Land at Terrace End to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 acres 0 roods 8·2 perches.

Part Railway land (part of Rural Section 387, Township of Palmerston).

Situated in Block XI, Kairanga Survey District, City of Palmerston North. (S.O. 20501.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6110, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of May, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the New Zealand Government Railways to take land in Block XIII, Waiho Survey District, for railway purposes (Road Motor Services):

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section eleven of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land:-

0 0 16·26 Part of Section 842, D.P. 921.

0 0 15·14 Part of Section 2641, D.P. 921.

Situated in Block XIII, Waiho Survey District, Westland County.

In the Westland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6102, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of May, 1940.
