Lands in the Nelson Land District forfeited.
Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 7th May, 1940.
NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Town Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 7th May, 1940.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 14th June, 1940.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 19th June, 1940, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

New Lynn Borough.—Waikomiti Parish.

- Allotment 456 is weighted with £60 for improvements, comprising dwelling of five rooms, bathroom, kitchenette (renovated throughout), concrete paths, fences, &c. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £50, the balance may be paid over a period of fifteen years by thirty equal half-yearly instalments of £22 1s. 5d., comprising principal and interest combined, and one final cash payment of approximately £193.
† Allotment 457 is weighted with £2 for an old building, this sum is payable in cash.
Allotments 452 to 457 are situated in Great North Road and are served with a concrete footpath. Allotments 458 to 462 are situated in Fruitvale Road.
The sections are within three-quarters of a mile of the post-office, shopping centre, and railway-station. They comprise good easy building-sites. Town water-supply, sewer-drainage, and electricity are available, and a regular bus service passes the property.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 26th June, 1940, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.
Waitomo County.—Town of Aria.
Section 1, Block V: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £15; half-yearly rent, 7s. 6d.
Section 8, Block V: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £15; half-yearly rent, 7s. 6d.
Sections 5, 6, 8, and 9, Block VI: Area, 1 rood 9·3 perches. Capital value, £20; half-yearly rent, 10s.
These sections are situated in the Town of Aria, about twenty-four miles from Te Kuiti. They comprise level to undulating land suitable for building-sites or grazing.

Patea County.—Kakaramea Township.
Sections 20, 21, 23, 24, and part 25: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 36·4 perches. Capital value, £40; half-yearly rent, £1.
Section 372: Area, 1 rood 0·5 perches. Capital value, £15; half-yearly rent, 7s. 6d.
Sections 272, 273, and part 263: Area, 3 roods 4·0 perches. Capital value, £20; half-yearly rent, 10s.
These sections are situated in Kakaramea Township, about four miles from Patea. They comprise first-class quality land suitable for building-sites or grazing.

Section 10, Block VII: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £10; half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 11, Block VII: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £10; half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 1, Block X: Area, 1 rood 4 perches. Capital value, £10; half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 2, Block X: Area, 1 rood 7 perches. Capital value, £10; half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 7, Block X: Area, 1 rood 16·6 perches. Capital value, £15; half-yearly rent, 7s 6d.
These sections are situated in the Town of Matiere, about seventeen miles from Taumarunui. Sections 10 and 11 are low lying, wet sections, infested with blackberry and ragwort. Sections 1 and 2 are also low lying and damp, but are partly drained. Section 7 is dry, and in fair pasture.
