The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of Certain Grades.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons of fancy grade and commercial grade respectively delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period :—
Period of delivery (both days inclusive) : 1st May to 31st May, 1940—
Fresh Lemons, Fancy Grade .. .. .. 5 0
Fresh Lemons, Commercial Grade .. .. 4 4
Cured Lemons, either Grade .. .. .. 7 0

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries.—City of Christchurch.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 22nd April, 1940.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Heathcote and included in the City of Christchurch.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF HEATHCOTE AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the northern side of Centaurus Road and the eastern side of St. Martins Road at a point on the present boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence proceeding westerly along the production of the northern side of Centaurus Road aforesaid to a point in the centre of St. Martins Road; thence southerly along the centre-line of the said Centaurus Road to a point opposite the intersection of that road and Palatine Terrace; thence westerly to the said intersection by a right line and its prolongation to a point on the left bank of the Heathcote River at the existing boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence generally northerly, easterly, and southerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Christchurch for Housing Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Christchurch and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
1 rood 36 perches.
Being portion of Rural Section 38.
Situated in the City of Christchurch.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106628, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
