Alteration of Boundaries, Christchurch Drainage District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be added to and form part of the Christchurch Drainage District; and, with the like powers and authorities, do hereby also declare that the said area shall be added to the Rural Heathcote Subdistrict of the said district.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 36ยท5 perches, more or less, and being Lot 16, plan No. 7811, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, and being part R.S. 73, 54 situated in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District ; being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 413, folio 82, Canterbury Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of January, 1940.

Revoking in Part a Proclamation setting apart Lands in the Otago Land District for Perpetual Leasing as a Village Homestead Special Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section five of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto the Proclamation made on the twenty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of July then instant, page 1007, setting apart lands for perpetual leasing as a village homestead special settlement under the Land Act, 1885.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 43, Block III, Glenomaru Survey District: Area, 20 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of January, 1940.

Boundaries of City of Christchurch and County of Heathcote altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of January, 1940.

Present:

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area of land be excluded from the County of Heathcote and included in the City of Christchurch :

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of the boundaries of the said city:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Heathcote and included in the City of Christchurch.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF HEATHCOTE AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded on the west by the western side of Kerrs Road from a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 18, on Deposited Plan 8339, to a point due west of the intersection of the eastern side of Kerrs Road with the south-eastern side of Wainoni Road ; thence due east along a right line to the said intersection ; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Wainoni Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, on Deposited Plan 8339 ; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, on Deposited Plan 8339 aforesaid, and the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 19, 21, and 23, on Deposited Plan 9438, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned lot ; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 24, 25, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44, on Deposited Plan 9438, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot ; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, and 53, on Deposited Plan 9438, and the southern boundary of Lot 18, on Deposited Plan 8339 aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the said Lot 18 ; thence along the production of the southern boundary of the said Lot 18, to the western side of Kerrs Road, the point of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the disposal of refuse and rubbish.
