THE TRANSPORT (GOODS) ORDER 1936, AMENDMENT No. 4.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations Act, 1936, of the making of the above-entitled regulations under the above-entitled Act.

Serial number: 1940/37.

Date of enactment: 28th day of February, 1940.

Appointment of Officer for Purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed

William John Anderson, of Naseby,

to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Otago Acclimatization District.

COMMISSIONED ENGINEER OFFICER.

Warrant Officer Alfred Alan Hughes is granted a temporary commission in the rank of Flying Officer. Dated 10th February, 1940.

EQUIPMENT BRANCH, SECTION II.

Seniority.

The appointment of Flying Officer William Temple is to be dated 1st October, 1937, for purposes of seniority. Dated 16th February, 1940.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SPECIAL DUTIES BRANCH.

Appointment.

Strachan Agnew Goldingham is granted a temporary commission in the Administrative and Special Duties Branch in the rank of Flying Officer. Dated 19th February, 1940.

DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF WORKS AND BUILDINGS.

John Wood, C.M.G., is appointed Director-General of Works and Buildings of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and is granted the honorary rank of Group Captain. Dated 7th February, 1940.

Resignation.

Acting Pilot Officer Frederick Nettleship Shallcrass resigns his commission. Dated 28th January, 1940.

Relinquishment of Commission.

Acting Pilot Officer Anthony Joseph William Parker (temporary commission) relinquishes his commission. Dated 2nd February, 1940.

Percy Alfred South is granted a temporary commission in the Equipment Branch, Section I, in the rank of Flying Officer. Dated 12th February, 1940.

Seniority.

The appointments of Flying Officers Gilbert Alexander Hutchinson (temporary commission; honorary Flight Lieutenant) and Herbert John Roberts (temporary commission) are dated 20th October, 1935, for purposes of seniority. Dated 26th January, 1940.

Appointment.

Edward Coupe Gorton is granted a temporary commission in the Equipment Branch, Section II, in the rank of Flying Officer, with seniority from 10th February, 1938. Dated 19th February, 1940.

Appointments.
