Apple and Pear Marketing Regulations 1940.

IN Supplementary Gazette, Number 15, dated 23rd February,
1940, on page 316, under heading of Grading Standards,
notice is hereby given that in the second column of the
subheading “Variety” the provision “X” should read as
“F,” and in the third column of subheading “Blemish” the
figure “3” should read “5.”

Additional Land near Pokeno, taken for the Purposes of the
Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato,
Railway to take further land near Pokeno in addition to
land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections
thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works
Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :—
A. R. P.
0 0 4·1} Portions of Allotment 16, Parish of
0 0 2·4/ Mangatawhiri.
0 0 20·5 Part road.
Situated in Block I, Maramarua Survey District, Franklin
County. (S.O. 30683.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6006,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at
Wellington, and thereon coloured violet, orange, and green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of
February, 1940.

Declaring a Portion of Railway Reserve near Apata to be
Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works
Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any
land taken, purchased or acquired for a Government work,
and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may,
on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation, declare
such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924,
and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed
of under that Act accordingly :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928,
and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to
the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 15 acres 0 roods
18 perches.

Part Railway land, Gazette of 1926, page 1587 (part Allotment
203, Apata Parish).

Situated in Block VI, Aongatete Survey District, Tauranga
County. (S.O. 24056.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6011,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of
February, 1940.
