I HEREBY certify that the Board for the Waipa Drainage District, by resolution passed on the 15th day of November,
1940, and confirmed on the 29th day of November, 1940, resolved under the provisions of subsection 2 of section 9 of the
Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and section 35 of the Local Legislation Act, 1940,
to issue new securities in conversion of the undermentioned existing securities.

the matter of ORITONUI CONSOLIDATED GOLD-MINING
COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court
was on the 17th day of December, 1940, presented to the
said Court by Charles Palmer and Company, Limited, of
Auckland, Merchant, and that the said petition is directed
to be heard before the Court sitting at Christchurch on the
10th day of February, 1941, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon;
and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous
to support or oppose the making of an order on the said
petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by
his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will
be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said
company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment
of the regulated charge for the same.

the person, or, if a firm, the name, address, and description
of the firm, and an address for service within three miles
of the office of the Supreme Court at Christchurch, and must
be signed by the person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if
any), and must be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post
in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner's
address for service not later than 11 o'clock in the forenoon
of the 8th day of February, 1941.

MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and its amendments, the Manawatu County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000),
authorized to be raised by the Manawatu County Council
under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of
making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings
within the County of Manawatu, under the Rural Housing
Act, 1939, the said Manawatu County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a
penny (1/15d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
(being the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the County of Manawatu; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day
of August and the first day of February in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at
a properly constituted meeting of the Manawatu County
Council held on Tuesday the 10th day of December, 1940.

by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the
company as altered the several particulars required by the
above statute, were registered by the Registrar of Companies
