HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and resignations of officers in the New Zealand Military Forces :—
STAFF.
2nd Lieutenant A. B. Watt, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is appointed Transport Officer, Waiouru Military Camp (temp.). Dated 14th November, 1940.
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Lieutenant G. P. Leane, M.C., to be Captain. Dated 26th November, 1940.
2nd Lieutenant E. King to be Lieutenant, and is granted the acting rank of Captain. Dated 2nd October, 1940.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 118, dated 21st November, 1940, relative to the appointment of Gavin George Wallace, for “to be 2nd Lieutenant,” substitute “to be Lieutenant.”
Lieutenant D. W. Curham, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Company Commander, 11th Company, National Military Reserve, Wanganui, is appointed Assistant Area Officer, Area 6, Wanganui, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 22nd November, 1940.
2nd Lieutenant S. C. Hay to be Lieutenant. Dated 22nd November, 1940.
John Wesley Loper (ex Royal N.Z. Artillery) to be Lieutenant, and is appointed Instructor, Artillery Training Regiment, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 29th November, 1940.
THE AUCKLAND (EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant G. B. Murray, Retired List, to be Lieutenant (temp.) Dated 20th November, 1940.
