Crown Land set apart for a Pumice-pit in Block XII, Tawhara Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a pumice-pit; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 acre 1 rood 16 perches.

Being portion of Opepe Block, being a subdivision of Tawhara Middle Block.

Situated in Block XII, Tawhara Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 31118.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 100298, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Hokianga County, containing by admeasurement 515 acres 2 roods, more or less, and being Sections 65 and 66, Block IX, Mangamuka Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 5/27, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 30887.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the Wanaka Islands Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said Wanaka Islands Domain,

FIRST SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, being the piece of road closed by Proclamation dated the 8th day of October, 1940, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th October, 1940, at page 2695, and now known as Reserve 1533a, situated in Block XVI, Town of Pemebroke. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/173r, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—WANAKA ISLANDS DOMAIN.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 300 acres, more or less, and known as Harwich Island, Lake Wanaka, bounded on all sides by Lake Wanaka.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 290 acres, more or less, known as Crescent or Rabbit Island, Lake Wanaka, bounded on all sides by Lake Wanaka.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 113 acres, more or less, being an island in Stevenson’s Arm, Lake Wanaka, bounded on all sides by Lake Wanaka.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 7 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, known as Ruby Island, in Lake Wanaka, situate about two miles from Pemebroke.

Also Section 1, Block XIII, Lower Wanaka Survey District: Area, 100 acres, more or less.

Section 29, Block XIV, Lower Wanaka Survey District: Area, 11 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less.

Sections 1 to 4, Block XIV, 1 to 4 and 8, Block XV, 1 to 6 and 8 to 14, Block XVI, 1 to 16, Block XVII, closed roads 1300n and 1324n, Town of Pemebroke, and Section 31, Block 111, Lower Wanaka Survey District: Area, 37 acres 0 roods 36 perches, more or less.

Sections 5, 6, 32, and 33, Block IX, Town of Pemebroke: Area, 1 acre, more or less.

Section 5, Block XV, Town of Pemebroke: Area, 2 acres 2 roods 28 perches, more or less.

Section 6, Block XV, Town of Pemebroke: Area, 1 acre 2 roods 24 perches, more or less.

Section 90, Block IX, Town of Pemebroke: Area, 46 acres 0 roods 11 perches, more or less.

Section 91, Block IX, Town of Pemebroke: Area, 13 acres 0 roods 12 perches, more or less.

Sections 3 and 4, Block XLIX, Town of Pemebroke: Area, 33 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less.

Section 7, Block XVI, Town of Pemebroke: Area, 1 rood more or less.

Sections 1 to 7, Block XIX, Town of Pemebroke: Area 3 acres 1 rood 25·4 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1940.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1622, set apart by Proclamation dated the eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and gazetted on the fourteenth day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
